...when I used dbPoweramp to rip the songs off the CD, the files resulting are merely 16 bit/44.1kHz (Fairstars also list the songs as 44.1 although it has a 48 setting...not sure what that one is) . There are also CD players that claim to be 24 bit/96kHz
