Hi, Apologies if this has been asked before, but I did perform a search and got totally confused by the responses... :(
OK, I have just purchased a 400Gb TS-101 with SlimServer pre-installed (I get a SB3 in a couple of weeks) so can begin the slow task of ripping my CD collection to FLACs. I am confident I have EAC working correctly and now I just need to plough through them. After checking a few test albums in FLAC (played though MS Media Player with plugin) the volume across the CD collection varies significantly after encoding, very annoying when playing on 'shuffle'. I understand there may be a way to get SOMETHING that will normalise the volume across all of the albums so they all play at the same volume. QUESTION/S - What is the easiest way to normalise playback volume of FLAC files encoded through EAC and played on a SB3? - Should I be 'doing something' during the RIP process to the FLAC file themselves? (There is a normalise feature in EAC) Thanks for your help and advice in advance, Nigel -- Nigel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nigel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8859 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36165 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
