Nigel, In case you missed it, make sure you understand this method only adds TrackGain not AlbumGain. Although (as Mark says) you may rarely listen to one album all the way through in future - now that you don't have to physically get up to insert a new CD - you may sill want the AlbumGain feature at some point, and SlimServer allows the best of both worlds by using "SmartGain".
I used foobar2000 overnight last night to add AlbumGain and TrackGain to 11,500 tracks and it took about 7 hours (I think).
