Please be sure to check out the aoTuV branch of the Vorbis encoder. 
It's generally extremely-well regarded.  The main Xiph "trunk" of the
Vorbis decoder is quite old.

At HydrogenAudio, most users find that aoTuV becomes indistinguishable
from lossless at Q4 (!), and a handful think it reaches that point
around Q5.  My own ABX tests show it's transparent just above Q4 for my
music, to my ears, on my system.  YMMV.  My A/B tests show that I can
tell the difference between FLAC and WAV, so that should tell you what
A/B testing is worth!  I personally encode at Q5 and Q6 just to be
safe.
