Conversion takes time and network bandwidth. What are you sending? mp3? flac? WMA? Wired or wireless? One hop or two? > I am running a SLIMP3 on mac 10.4.10 A real SliMP3? wow, thats old. The SqueezeBox2 and 3 (and transporter) support FLAC natively, so they don't require as much server transmorgification. I think the original slimp3 only did 802.11.b, WiFi, which I found to be too slow to be reliable. I went to wired until I got my Transporter.
