Tagging for Classical music is an art form, and a lot comes down to personal choice. I've been thinking about it for years and have only very recently come up with an approach that I think will work for me. What I intend to is to add all the tags I need for my own purposes, and then create Title, Artist, and Album tags that make sense on my Squeezebox/Transporter, iPod, etc. What I intend to do is something like this: Using the first track on the disc you have mentioned as an example: Bach: Partita No. 2 In C Minor, BWV 826: I. Sinfonia - Grave Adagio I'll use the something like the following tags: Composer: J.S. Bach Work: Partita No. 2 in C minor Opus: BWV 826 Movement: I. Sinfonia - Grave Adagio Performer: Martha Argerich, Piano I'll then run a script over the files that creates the following tags: Title: I. Sinfonia - Grave Adagio Album: Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826 Artist: J.S.Bach (Martha Argerich, Piano) This will then read: I. Sinfonia - Grave Adagio from Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826 by J.S.Bach (Martha Argerich, Piano) I really can't see any better way of doing this.
