Hi John - hope you are still following this thread after being 'helped'
by the FLAC community (they does love their flac they does!) anyway I
think what you wanted to do was use WAV and iTunes to manage your
library, which is fine and means you can play the stuff on your PC or
laptop without Slimserver and of course Slimserver does a great job of
integrating with your iTunes library when you want to stream to your
Squeezebox. The answer is to simply use iTuneEncode as an external
encoder for EAC - it will transfer the files into iTunes and tell
iTunes the tags to put in it's database and bob is your whatsit :-)

I am myself wondering whether it would be better to use a 'tag in file'
format instead of WAV - as if iTunes goes belly up, you will have lost
at least your genre and year tags (unless you make them part of the
folder structure) - you can always transcode later anyway! :-)
