Sorry, let me make that a bit clearer...

Storing audio as raw PCM files (.wav files) gains you nothing - it uses
more disk space, and the tagging isn't nearly as good.

FLAC is lossless - Free Lossless Audio Codec, that's "lossless", as in
"no loss". This is easily demonstrable:

Take a .wav file: input.wav
Encode it as flac: input.flac
Decode the flac file: output.wav
Compare input.wav and output.wav - it's magic! They're the same.

There really is *NO* point, zero, zilch, nada, in storing audio in raw
PCM/.wav format, especially if you are encoding it all to FLAC as well.
