They way I've done this (and I've reripped my whole collection!) I firstly rip via EAC to WAVE (I like to have it all stored as WAVE for future eventualities). I encode copies to FLAC using bonkenc - you open whole directories with subfolders in one go and bonkenc will handle the encoding w/o supervision. It's quite fast even on my old dell latitude. Then I use mp3tag.exe (freeware and unbelievably competent) and I open directories containing 1500 tunes or more in one chunk and I go over them album for album to get the tags allright. Within mp3tag I can look up info on the tracks from internet databases, tag with albumart from for ex amazon.com etc. One thing thou is that you have to add fields (tags) in mp3tag as it contains a limited number of tags and some specifically labelled for FLAC (see http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?SlimServerSupportedTags) are not there by default. After some studying and hard work I now have my compilations tagged for disc number, number of discs in a compilation, artist for every track within a compilation and all sorts of goodies. The only thing I wait for is the next upgrade of SS which is said to support embedded albumart
