That is the catch... and then you get into the issue of track-level genre's. A Brazilian band named Skank (which tends to be sorta Brazilian Rock with some Ska and Reggae influence) has a song named "Supernova" which, apart from the rest of their music, is more like Techno than anything else.... It doesn't sound at all like most of their other songs. But what I see for Jarre isn't just Electronica: it is "Electronica;New Age;Electronic;Adult Alternative;Progressive Electronic;Club/Dance;Mixed Media" The Electronica would probably go on all tracks, with New Age, Electronic, etc going in addition on some tracks. You could also steal their schema for "Moods" to tag individual tracks. You will end up with buckets of genres this way, some of which will be very broad (Electronica, for example), some of which will be more precise like "Club/Dance". If I ever get something called Free Time (I heard about it once), I plan on stealing the AMG schema since it does seem to provide a reasonably well thought out genre scheme, at least better than the default id3 genres (Christian Gangsta Rap?
