I'm running SlimServer on FreeNAS (the SlimNAS install) and it's working
great. When I first copied the music over everything was hunky dory.
Now, I'm starting to see corrupt tag info. It's not corrupt like weird
characters, mostly the genres are getting changed from stuff like
alternative and adult contemporary to 17 and 24 (typically a number
value). The mp3's have both ID3v1.x and 2.x and I've read that removing
the 1.x version would help clean things up so I'd only be using v2.x.

I currently access the library (and create playlists) using iTunes
because my wife needs that for her player. I also play from my computer
using WMP and from a SB3 in the living room.

The other issue is that some of the files will no longer play in WMP.
When I open them the track length is not even displayed (I could
understand if it were 0, but I get nothing). That is often the case
when the tag is completely corrupt. Opening the mp3 in a tagging
program, I can delete the tag and create a new one and the file will
play again.

Could this corruption I'm seeing be a mix of iTunes doing it's thing
while the library is indexing on SlimServer, or could it have something
to do with accessing the library from all 3 mediums (SS, iTunes, and
WMP). I really want to get this to work because I'm getting sick of
fixing the tags.
