...and it's driving me crazy. It's just one track, and it's not the end of the world. But I should be able to do it.
I have collected together 33 tracks, which I put into a single directory. I then used mp3tag to delete the album information and replaced it with a new album name; I also renumbered the tracks from 1-33. I then rescanned...and after another couple of iterations (I had to get rid of the disk number on some tracks too) I had a new album with...32 tracks. So I did a search by track name - and Track 33 had kept it's original album. So I used mp3tag to change the name of the track as well, and got rid of every other tag I could find. Did a complete rescan...and the track still had it's original title and album. (It was labled corrected as track 33 though.) I deleted the track and rescanned. It vanished from the database. I replaced the track and rescanned. It appeared with the original title and album. I stopped slimserver and deleted the whole database from the disk. I then started slimserver and it rescanned. The album STILL has it's original title and album. I've checked it on Winamp; winamp is convinced that it has the new name and album, not the original.... So I renamed the track and album on winamp to something else, and rescanned. It's STILL got the original title and album. I've renamed the actual name of the track to something else (clutching at straws here), and rescanned. It's STILL got the original title and album. It's like the original name and album is hidden in there in a way that Winamp and mp3tag can't see, but SlimServer can. Any suggestions? Slimserver 6.5.4 running on win2000. -- Martin_z ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Martin_z's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10378 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40705 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
