hrrm, Erland knows his plugin better than I, but isn't that possible with CustomBrowse/CustomScan? I've only played with them a bit, fixing genres (Elis Regina is NOT reggae despite what FreeDB says) is enough brain-melting for me, but they look very flexible and I think they would do that.
