What seems clear to me is that the almost universal Artist/Album/Track convention which evolved for tagging music files came about in the world of pop music. While Composer has been added in many player implementations, and it is a step in the right direction for classical, we're still not to a place where there can be widespread agreement. Which is why everyone does it their way that suits their collection and browsing preferences.
I see this discussion branching into two discussions: 1. How to tag Classical music within the limitations of devices which currently exist. 2. What system would we like to have, if the devices were not a limitation. Both useful discussions.
