I don't know about FLAC tagging OTTOMH, but ID3v2 has had this sort of thing in its tagging definition for years. TDOR = Date of original recording TDRC = Date of recording (might differ because of remix, etc) TDRL = Date of release TDTG = Date of tagging Only one of these is used by SlimServer, to the best of my knowledge.
