Hi, I have read most of what is written here about the two formats. Yes, I use iTunes so I should have ALAC, but For my SqB I'd like FLAC, it's open source etc. etc.
My question is: Is there any significant differences in ripping performance or file size between the two formats? I'm using Windows XP home and want to use either iTunes (for ALAC) or some other tool for ripping. I'm considering ripfactory, dBpoweramp or other. Any experience out there?
