Hi, I read about a bug that caused clipping in songs with positive replaygain settings. Has this been rectified?
I am going to be setting up a Squeezebox in my store (I have 2 at home). I thought it would make sense to add replaygain values in hopes that it will keep me from having to constantly change the volume from album to album and/or track to track (if I do a random play). I don't change the volume on my amp in the store too often right now, I suppose mostly because it's a hassle. I have never used replaygain at home because I never listen to "background" music. I am always sitting down for a serious listening session. Using "smart gain" what happens to the volume if I am listening to an album and then decide to play some random files? Will the overall volume stay the same? Or should I just use "track gain" (I assume using track gain across the board would make "all" songs sound about the same volume level, though I would be losing the relative volume difference between songs on the same album)?
