Now what? Your pictures don´t tell anything. Your captured non decoded
sound looks different then cd ripped to wav. It shouldn´t.
The developer of hdcd.exe used a direct stream output of Wmp to
reengineer the decoded files. Some others verified that.

Since wmp doesn´t have all features of the HDCD standard implemented he
couldn´t do that for all features.
The conclusion is that the only feature that hdcd.exe can´t decode is
rarely used and must has to do with upsampling.
There seems to be an info on how the DAC should use the antialias
filter during upsampling to 88.2kHz.
Since it is no commercial product and was done out of curiosity i doubt
you can ask for more. If it bothers you, simply don´t use it.
I for example decode with tht hdcd.exe to 24/44.1 and dither the output
back to 16/44.1 if the cd uses Peak Extension.
This way i have much less clipping and smoother sound. At least i was
able to deliver one sample ou can easily hear this effect.

You may read that one. There some people played around also.
