I also compair it to the original ripped wav file and the stream of playing the CD in a none HDCD compatible player
Also saying the direct capture is not valid is not true, I have also tried comparing the direct sound capture of a HDCD.exe decoded 24-bit wave and compared it to a direct sound capture of WMP playing a HDCD, they are very different. > > The developer of hdcd.exe used a direct stream output of Wmp to > reengineer the decoded files. Some others verified that. I have not been able to find anything about that, please link, it would be a good read. > > Since wmp doesn´t have all features of the HDCD standard implemented he > couldn´t do that for all features. I definitly need to see proof of this because microsft if the one who ones HDCD and it's licensing. They would be the one to have to best decoder for it. Also, I have found nothing that says nowhere that MS does not fully decode HD CD's. Here are some links to a guy discussing how HDCD.exe does not fully decode HDCD's, I wanted to see for myself if that was true and did a test: http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showpost.php?p=4325587&postcount=13 http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showpost.php?p=4225594&postcount=35 http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showpost.php?p=4228439&postcount=45 -- LukeS ------------------------------------------------------------------------ LukeS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32128 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48260
