typical approach is for example (on C: harddrive with a Music folder) C:\music\artist\album\track
so each artist would have a subdirectory, under this would be separate subdirectories of each album, and under each album directory would be the album tracks. With compilations I use: C:\music\compilations\album\track I use dbpoweramp to rip CDs and have my naming convention set to create this automatically. In your case it sounds like composer could be more important. so you could add this level easily enough to have: c:\music\composer\artist\album\track this way you'd have all music by one composer in a directory and all the various artists and albums under this. Bottom line it really doesn't matter that much how the directories are organized, but it matters a lot that your tags (metadata) are correct! -- garym ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=72923 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
