hi, i'm a new user and fan of the squeezebox (classic) and enjoy listening to the extensive collection of flac torrents on my main machine while sitting in the living room.
wonderful. but: almost all of them are untagged and so the titles show as track01 and the like. obvisously a tagging schme is needed; I guess I'll write a tool to help me for this: it should create tag-textfiles for use with mp3tag. but: after applying the tags the flac files will be altered and their checksum will fail and so I can't seed them any longer. outch! so here is the question/suggestion: wouldn't it be nice, if the squeezeserver could use the tag-textfiles? they might have to have a special name, be stored with the music and adhere to a special format; they may also only be used in absence of real (embedded) tags - all this woulf be fine and easy. is it possible? already here? a plausible idea? what can I do to promote it? any ideas? tia, thomas -- tawulf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tawulf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35826 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73952 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
