after long recherches: You´re right, my *.wav files are a container, my
friend put multichannel sound in without telling me (nice surprise :0).
Work great.

I could also get some facts for converting it: It´s not possible to
convert multichannel *.wav in flac, because header information gets
scrambeld. 2-channel wav can be converted of course.

Remains the problem: If you want to stream multichannel you´ve to
use`*.wav. But wav can´t be (ID3-) tagged. Even if you write album and
title in filename, it´s not recognized by SBS. My only idea: Put
multichannel in a separate folder and use the "Option" menu of
controller to browse filenames. Not elegant, but working. Like in former
times without ID3 - tagging :0) ...   

Hope that new format HD-AAC gets multichannel support ...
