I have no experience with Fairstairs converter. (Actually it is the first time I here that name). My files were created with foobar2000 and the standard flac encoder. It is a simple conversion from .wav to .flac file. Flac is a lossless compression therefore whatever is in the .wav file will be reproduced identically. The only explanation is that your software altered the PCM stream during the conversion. Yes, all my multi-channel recordings are in flac. In fact, my whole library is in flac only. Just do a search and you will find that a lot people are also using flac for multi-channel. Nothing new at all. Another thing to check may be your transcode setting in SBS. Did you somehow set the flac transcode to mp3? Make sure it is in native mode. -- Honva ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Honva's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14948 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75966
