Eric, The procedure you refer to tested ok with me for both AC3 and DTS. Can you verify the content and format of your AC3 files in F2K. Before converting to .wav with spdifconvert you will need the F2K ac3 decoder. After conversion they should play as such. In both cases you can see if the content is recognized as multi-channel ( status left down in F2K window )
