I'm on a Windows platform and it seems like the above is written in
PERL so before going through the hazzle of trying it out do you happen
to have a working sample AC3 file which I try out in my setup? (My
guess is it wont work but I might be surprised)

I'm using DVD Audio Extractor to extract the raw ac3/dts from the DVD
and then spdifconvert.py to convert the files to wav and flac.exe to
convert from wav to flac. It works fine with DTS-files but my receiver
has some kind of issue with AC3 files and hence I'm looking for a way
to convert AC3 to DTS.

I think the procedure I'm using is okay and hence I'm looking for a way
to convert AC3 to DTS since this solution is cheaper than buying a new
receiver.
