I would say that at _least_ 1/4th of the artists in my collection couldn't easily be pigeonholed into any one (or even two or three) genres. In any case, it doesn't really matter. If you organize things /genre/artist/album/.... and you want to find a particular artist, it can become damned hard trying to find them. A simple /artist/album/... organization makes things much easier. Since I do all of my listening through Squeezebox Server, I can still easily browse by genre, and it's much better than doing so through the directory structure, as you can assign multiple genres to albums and tracks. I use straight directory access almost exclusively for library maintenance, not browsing. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79986 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
