I have a dream where I would have about 50-100 genres, a mix of both relatively standard ones grabbed from Amazon, AMG, etc. and then some of my own making as well. Probably some that would be a 1-1 mapping from "their" genre to my genre - i.e., a global search and replace on "hard rock" to "heavy metal" or something like that (no good examples come to mind right now). Some of my genres would actually be the style tag from AMG. I've thought about writing (and have a design doc in my head) a good mass genre editor for my music. Something with good drag and drop at an album level, maybe some good analysis and stats (do you really want 200 albums in this genre or do you need to break it into two genres?), suggestions, etc. All of of the tag editors that I've tried in the past really suck at album-level genre tagging... What is "HMV's" in the 5th option of the poll? -- spedinfargo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ spedinfargo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15712 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80908 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
