board to lend a hand, following which there was a good six months of
daily coding and testing before it was announced. The field level stuff
could've been in already, but we had a few higher priorities to get
sorted like dealing with improper tag types

Re a windows executable, it's possible and it will happen in time
(along with .rpm and .deb packages for Linux), as soon as we've slowed
down on the development side. We feel puddletag's now getting close to
full featured insofar as core tagging UI capability is concerned. After
1.0 the focus is going to switch to being able to use it at the
command-line. With the plugin API published hopefully interested
persons will add plugins to do things like retrieve Last.FM tags,
lyrics, support additional web sources, replaygain etc. We may take a
look at replaygain when other priorities have been addressed.
