Hi Guys,

I apologize if this has been asked before. If so, I couldn't find the
answer.

dbPoweramp was "good" in batch converting my wav files to flac, but not
totally without errors or problems. But I don't need to do that again.

So now it comes down to a matter of costs over features. Knowing that
Winamp and dbPoweramp both rip to FLAC, I bought the license for Winamp
instead of the more expensive dbPoweramp (also annoyed having to pay
more for a family pack--I'm the only one using it but I want it on all
my computers). I thought I read somewhere on the dbPoweramp site that
the license expires and I have to renew it every year or so, but I may
be wrong. If so, that would also annoy me. I was not impressed with
Accuraterip because dbPoweramp did not have Accuraterip parameters for
roughly 25% of the few CDs I did rip with it. I'm not totally
convinced Accuraterip is really a worthwhile feature or a sales
gimmick.

Winamp works fine for me for ripping CDs, but I can't figure out how to
convert all the FLAC files in one folder to WAV. Is that possible with
Winamp Pro 5.581? I read somewhere on a Winamp forum that all you do
is select all the files and right click to bring up a Windows menu and
then "Send to" Winamp. I don't see such an option.

So my most important question is, is converting files from FLAC to WAV
not available with Winamp? Or do I have to use dbPoweramp or hopefully
some other utility to do this?

Thanks!
Ed
