Mobile support for FLAC isn't mainstream, but it's hardly non-existent. Rockbox (free alternative firmware) works on many players, and it supports FLAC. There are also some players (Cowan?) with support for FLAC in the stock software.

I got rid of iTunes several years ago, but then had to bring it back recently after buying an iPod touch (primarily to control my SBs, but secondarily as a portable player playing my MP3 copies). When I rip a new CD or download a new FLAC, I have been adding the MP3 copies to my iTouch by telling iTunes to add the new directories for each of the new albums. This has to be done separately for each new album/directory. Is there any better way? Thanks. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87825 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
