That doesn't really make sense. If I have albums tagged ALBUMARTIST=Various Artists and the option to rename 'Various Artists set to something like 'Compilations', then I would expect the ALBUMARTIST=Various Artists albums to appear under 'Various Artists', regardless of the SBS option. So they have to be two different artists. > I think it should be under "V", that would be a lot more logical for > users which use ALBUMARTIST tags with values like "Jazz Various > Artists", "Instrumental Various Artists". However, does it mean that you must do away with scanning logic that categorizes albums as compilations based on either COMPILATION=1 tags or artist makeup? If you do away with this logic then you make a mess of a very large number of libraries where users do not have either COMPILATION or ALBUMARTIST tags in any files. -- JJZolx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88072 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
