I'm guessing you have configured SBS with the setting "List compilation
albums under each artist" ?
Still the problem is just moved to the "Albums" menu instead.
Let's say you have enabled "SBS Settings/Interfaces/Show Artist with
Albums".
1. How would you like a compilation album with 15 different artists to
look like in the "Albums" menu ?
2. How would you like it to be sorted in the "Albums" menu ?
One solution is to display it as:
- Some album by Various Artists
(sorted under V)
Another one is to display it as:
- Some album
(sorted under ????)
A third is to display the same album 15 times in the album list, one
entry for each artist, so you would have:
- Some album by Artist1
- Some album by Artist2
- Some album by ...
(each entry sorted under the listed artist)
The first approach is what SBS uses, the third approach is what WinAmp
uses.
I personally tend to like the first approach with "by Various Artists"
on small screen displays like a Squeezebox screen.
