I was going to suggest that. For a long time, there have been problems with
the DB not updating correctly if tags are changed and the user performs a scan
for new and updated files. e.g. if an album is marked as a compilation, and
you scan it in and then clear the compilation tag and scan for changes, it
still remains as a compilation in the DB.

For day to day use, I'm still running SBS 7.5.6, so I can't comment on the
effects with 7.6 and LMS 7.7.

The other thing to check is what tags you have present. It's best to have only
one type of tag set. For example, with mp3 tags I use ID3v2.4 only, and ensure
I remove ID3v1 tags.

You said that you had set "Album Artist to ..."; was this really a TXXX ALBUM
ARTIST tag, TXXX ALBUMARTIST or TPE2?

>I've left it exactly as it last was:
>- list albums by band
>- TPE2 is album artist
"List albums by band" is therefore irrelevant (at least for mp3 music), because
the Band tags will be read as Album Artists. NB. if an album has an Album
Artist, this would override the list setting anyway and list the album by album
artist.
