Sorry. By "rogue" I didn't mean deliberately malicious software (aka "malware") such as you found described in your google search. I only meant software that either (a) was a little too aggressive in modifying tags to conform to what _it_ thinks is correct or, more the more common case, (b) software that has a bug somewhere.
It is hard to say much more to help without seeing a complete example of one of your problem cases. Your example in the first post was missing a lot of the info which you say you have specified for the track display on your SB3/Classic. Even with the full tag info it may be impossible to find the source of the problem without knowing the full history of the files. One thing for clarification: when you say the track info doesn't display properly, are you referring exclusively to the display on the same SB3/Classic?
