another variant preferred by some is to simply make a multi disc set one album be renumbering the songs and place them all in the same folder and adjust the tags accordingly .
I don't do that . The reasonings seems to be that discs is a limit from the CD system and thus artificial in an file server system an album is an " release " when delivered on CD it must be in 74 minute plastic pieces, but not on the server . But sometimes it makes sense to have disc number for everyone, take Rounder records 25years 9 disc compilation as example, where every disc has a particular music style and are not continuation of the preceding disc, it makes some thematic sense to split them. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
