I tend to set multi-disc sets up as single albums for all the reasons outlined above if it makes sense to me for that paricular album. I renumber the tracks and set the number of discs to 1.
It does seem quite sensitive to slight tagging errors which often crop up when the two discs have been ripped separately and as a result have subtly different tagging info. Get any of this wrong, and it still appears as separate albums, at least sometimes. I've found it's less hassle to use MP3tag to make sure all the key tags are as they should be when I rip the album than to spend time looking for errors on the squeezebox. I make sure all tags which apply to the whole album are identical by copying and pasting from a single tag - even if they look the same. I then look at extended tags, and make sure the total tracks tab is set correctly, although if it doesn't exist, I don't create it. I do the same with total discs. -- pqpq ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pqpq's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52280 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93655 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
