I presume if you are making logs with selector... and then import them
into rivendell.

What happens if you look at one of your imported logs in Rivendell logedit?

My top of the hour events are either "make next" or "Start
Immmediately" If they are like that... they should behave like your
soft and hard time events in selector. If not there must be a fault in
your import process of log files from selector. My experience with
start times in rivendell are ignored unless they are make next etc.
