Agreed. Make the Legal ID an actual Rivendell timed event; not an audio file
laid out as part of a Selector log.

Subject: Re: [RDD] Overscheduling & Top of Hour

I would run an event which has the Legal ID in it which is done in rivendell
not Selector.

The legal can be set to play at the top of the hour and bump the over fills by
selecting play at scheduled time

Guys,

We use approximately 6-8 minutes of overscheduled music per hour. Our
music is scheduled via Selector. Every hour at the top of the hour we
place a Legal ID via a log event that also moves us to the next hour
in the Selector playlist.

The issue I am having is the placement of the top of hour id. I am
unable to control where Rivendell places this ID resulting in the
station playing 2 IDs in a row.

I have tried making a "13th hour" in Selector where music is scheduled
like this:
01:55:05001656 401 03:59 Keith Anderson Stick
It
01:59:04900000 00:10 Liners
01:59:14002452 401 03:4407 C Eric Church Home
Boy
01:62:58900000 00:10 Liners
01:63:08000766 401 04:0900 F Mark McGuinn Bring
'em Back
- THIS IS WHERE THE LEGAL ID SHOULD *ALWAYS* BE PLACED -
02:00:00001682 401 03:04 Toby Keith She's A
Hottie
02:03:04900000 00:10 Liners
02:03:14001667 401 03:44 Montgomery Gentry Back
When I Knew It All
02:06:58900000 00:10 Liners
02:07:08002488 401 03:2218 C Rodney Atkins Take A
Backroad

I have also tried scheduling like this:

00:58:45900000 00:10 Liners
00:58:55001645 401 03:38 Aaron Lines Turn It
Up
01:02:33900000 00:10 Liners
01:02:43002137 401 03:2309 C Phil Vassar
Everywhere I Go
- THIS IS WHERE THE LEGAL ID SHOULD *ALWAYS* BE PLACED -
01:00:00001445 401 03:05 Van Zant Goes
Down Easy
01:03:05900000 00:10 Liners
01:03:15002074 401 04:4307 F Brad Paisley Welcome
To The Future
01:07:58900000 00:10 Liners
01:08:08004059 401 03:5317 Chris Cagle Got My
Country On

I have added the text of where this legal id should always be placed
like this : "- THIS IS WHERE THE LEGAL ID SHOULD *ALWAYS* BE PLACED -"
as an example.

Rivendell seems to be ignoring the log times and placing the top of
hour based on the actual log run time. Is this behavior normal or can
this be controlled somewhere in a setting?

Does anyone have any ideas how I can control this and make sure the
placement of this is EXACTLY at the top of the hour as determined by
the imported playlist? I'm now at a TOTAL loss here!

Thanks!
