We are currently reviewing automation systems to replace an aged AV system. We're scheduling demos from Enco, Wide Orbit, and Audio Vault. I'm putting together a Rivendell system for demo as well. I would appreciate feedback, especially from anyone who has had to "sell" against the other products. But I also have a few questions about Rivendell and our systems:
1) Content Depot support. I found this (http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/Content_Depot_PRSS). Is anyone using it? 2) SAS router, I thought I saw a reference but can't find it. 3) importing mp3. We currently have a large part of our library stored in mp3. Is there a way to import from a podcast? 4) Converting from Audio Vault, How much info can I transfer? logs? 5) Base OS. I've built a couple of VM's to test the setup using Debian and Ubuntu. I'm wondering if Ubuntu Studio might be a good option as well, but it is quite bloaty. Hopefully that's not too many questions for a for a single post.
