Hi all, I thinks this thread regroups several issues in fact.
Here are the Tryphon experience with these "alsa" issues : - noise after 2/3 seconds when playing a cart : experienced (once) on a customer Ubuntu system with M-Audio 1010LT via caed alsa. Workaround with jack. Never reproduced on our Debian RivendellBoxes - noise randomly present in rdcatch recordings. No problem with 24/24h rdairplay plays or the local audio adapter switch performed by the same RivendellBox. Experienced by a single customer (other .. don't use rdcatch records) - channel mismatch in caed alsa in vu-meter or local audio adapter switch with several sound cards (reported several time but not reproduced by us) - hardware problems in the M-Audio 1010 (not LT) but without any link with Rivendell The Tryphon team is available (time and hardware) to analyze these problems.
