When I built the Slack-14 machine, I had to look up how to upgrade from KDE4 to KDE3. ( easy if you never installed KDE4, and not real terrible if you did. Thank you Unix ! ) KDE3 has its bugs. I don't use the KDE desktop at all, but I do use a few apps.
