Then why are you not teaching them what they should know.

There is no difference between a DAW and a straight desk with mixers turntables tapedecks and some FX in the rack.

The true test is done with ears, and how it sounds on the big monitors, and how it sounds on the little monitor you keep for the purpose.

If you grade audio the best you will win listeners.

The TSL on heavily processed stations is about half that on low or no 'energy boost' stations.

In the local market the top CHR is a student station which has NO [money to buy] processing and out performs the big guns just by watching the meters. The talk radio 'contest' is similar.

Keeping levels is one place where machines have not matched the human brain.
