Al:
Thanks for the response. I'm glad the bad cap issue is long gone. I went
to the Centos website and they say
the UEFI issues have been resolved for Centos 7.

The Dell capacitor issue was resolved a good number of years ago. Lots
of mobos suffered from bad caps, not just Dell.
If anything, UEFI may be a bigger annoyance.

I had asked earlier this year about getting a new PC to run Centos
6. Now I'm looking to buy new PC's to run Centos 7.
Station Management doesn't want me to buy refurbished PC's so I'm
considering buying new Dell Optiplex 3060 Towers.
Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences with
installing Centos 7 on an Optiplex 3060 Tower? Seems like I
remember someone mentioning Dell motherboard capacitors failing.
