Hello,

Please allow me to explain my problem in plain English.

I had to replace Rivendell’s old server.

I had a new server with all my audio files up to date.

In the backup of the .sql file, using 'sed' command, I replaced the old IP with
the new server’s IP, and restore the sql file into the new server.

In the /etc/hosts and /etc/rd.conf  documents of each workstation or client,
the old IP server was replaced accordingly.

The /etc/fstab in the workstations uses the universal id (UUID)

The system started working apparently fine, until we shutdown the old server.

Problem: The Rivendell work stations were receiving the information from the
new server’s sql data base, but playing the audio files from the old server

I tried to umount /var and /home, shut down the old server and mount the /var
and /home again to the new server, but still the workstations would not find
the RDXport in the new server and won’t play the audio files.

How can I divorce the workstations from the old server and marry them to the
newserver without having to re install Rivendell in the workstations or clients?

Also, how do I link the workstations’ rd_xfer file to the /misc/rd_xfer file of
the new server?
Note:  I installed my Rivendell system using Fred's suggested instructions for
RD3. I am using the latest Rivendell version
I would appreciate any help.
