I propose a simple, easy to use, easy to
install, fully customisable, and rish featured OLC. I wish to have:
</snip>
your features are (for the most part) either not very useful, or, as many
of them are, already integrated, by default, and working, in OLC.
<snip>
And I plan to modify existing code in files as least as possible.
I also plan to keep all this in just a few files as I hate how OLC 2 adds
millions of files (I.e. the dumbest of all -- allocfunc.h). I.e.:
mudprog.c
mudprog.h
olc.c
olc.h
And thats all.
</snip>
it doesnt add millions of files, it add files *logically* separated by
their function. If you haven't looked at major projects in C lately, then
you wouldnt know this.. utterly SMART way of organizing. Surf some big
projects on sourceforge. Not too many of us like to navigate 500k source
files..
<snip
I'm sorry if this seems like a fleeting dream to most of you, but I
</snip>
One question I have: Why? OLC is already very good. Although there may be a
couple bugs that you have to patch, and maybe customizations for your mud,
there is really nothing wrong with it. You might look to producing a
modified OLC for the public? Like QuickMUD is to ROM.

P.S. Ivan -- if your reading this, please don't think I'm challenging
you, heh.
</snip>
right, you are probably just ripping him, and others.. *shrug*
