This was just getting too cute, so I had to chime in...

I find it amusing, that while, for a long time - the list was nearly
flame-less (compared to the old days, in which flames were quite common,
and a hell of a lot more fun to read) - until you kids came along (No, I'm
not only singling out the author of this email - Tom and the other guy are
also included in the above reference...

If you would like to take over the running of the archive (and its 600+ MB
search indices), feel free to drop me a note - they do nothing but cause
problems, and hog bandwidth..

Maybe I should take them offline.

Then we'll see how "ain't that good" the archive really is. (I get about
7000 hits/week on it, if not more. Really, if it aint that good, howcome
there's not 0 hits/week?) And yes, I take offense at people who post inane
blabbering criticizing something I've spent many hours creating, fixing
and working on - which costs me actual money, and you kids get to use for
free.

Tom, shut up and delete his messages.

I get 50 messages/week from this list - and I haven't seen a message AT
ALL the last 2 years that vaguely interested me. Hell, I barely read this
mail folder once a week, and most of the time all I do, is ride the 'd'
key down the message index.

And before you go telling me to unsubscribe, I'll give you the warning -
the day I leave this list, is the day the archives go offline. Forever.

But when I get 300 messages/day, I don't mind putting up with you kids
petty arguments. And sometimes it's just too funny to watch noob1 argue
with noob2.

The last time someone tried to bring up a "true problem" - all the noobs
(the majority of the list) decided that it was too hard of a "problem" -
and the thread subsequently died a rather quick and painless death.
