I am looking for the examples - success stories on the subject of Business Modeling with UML. How companies that implemented this approach were able to streamline / improve the business operations and develop good IT systems via business modeling.
Unfortunately, there are no real life examples in the book "Business Modeling with UML". The book is dedicated to modeling techniques and patterns. It has a chapter dedicated to the specific business modeling example for fictitious company "Bob's Mail Order". Same for the book "Enterprise Modeling with UML". The book - "Reengineering the Corporation" - has many examples, but all of them (except one) are merely story telling, without any kind of diagrams. It is more like "inspirational" book for processes reengineering, than book on business modeling techniques. The "success stories" that I was able to locate on the web are oriented on CASE tools and software development process rather than on technology neutral business modeling examples. If you know some good references - please let me know. Thank you.
