To distinguish my definition from others, this is the modelling of an area of business independent of any systems that may be developed, with the eventual aim of using the results in multiple systems. So far, the result is about a 'break-even', no fantastic success stories (yet). I don't know of anyone that has written up results in this area, come to that I don't know of many folk working in this area - if there's anyone out there, let me know. I see Domain Modelling as a useful way of modelling those parts of a business that do not vary (much) over time, and as such this is complementary to Business Process Modelling which models those aspects of business that are most likely to vary over time.
