Well it's certainly not useless but it might be wrong. However if the MDI we're going for revolves around a single current setDocument() (which is what you introduced as part of the doc loading stuff) then this is a way of making the file loading slicker. The reason I'm doing it is so that we don't have to rebuild the entire view everytime we load a document 'cos as it stands it's horribly slow and clunky, not to mention inefficient. I'm prepared to have a correct solution in there eventually but I also want a more responsive GUI. How do I check stuff in onto a branch?
