Ok, my next question/point. I'm taking out all the m_doc pointers from the subordinate classes from RosegardenGUIView downwards. Instead I'm replacing the document links with a RosegardenGUIView-style getDocument() QWidget or QObject traversing method. This goes the came for any m_composition pointers that are hanging around. Yell now before I waste any more time but as it's half working already I'm kind of loathe to chuck this away. I could maybe see a need for local copies of m_doc etc. pointers if we have true MDI but we don't yet and anyway it's bound to be a more dangerous solution than in the future maybe reengineering everything so that the App decides which View should be looking at which Document. I'm am tripping up on RefreshStatuses and Composition::RefreshStatusIds a little though. Don't quite understand that but I can code around it for the moment I think. Thoughts?
